Why You Should Regularly Change Your Car’s Filters and Fluid

Everyone knows that they need to change the oil in their car every few months or so. But did you know that there are other fluids and filters in your car that also need to be regularly changed? Just like oil, these fluids and filters can become dirty and clogged over time, which can cause all sorts of problems for your car. In this blog post, we’ll take a look at why you should regularly change your car’s filters and fluid.

The Engine Filter

One of the most important filters in your car is the engine filter. The engine filter’s job is to keep dirt, dust, and other debris from getting into the engine. Over time, the engine filter can become clogged with all this dirt and debris, which can cause the engine to run less efficiently. That’s why it’s important to change your engine filter every few months or so.

The Transmission Fluid

Another important fluid in your car is transmission fluid. Transmission fluid helps keep the gears in your transmission lubricated and running smoothly. But just like engine oil, transmission fluid can get dirty over time. When this happens, it can cause the gears to grind and eventually fail. That’s why it’s important to have your transmission fluid changed every 30,000 miles or so.

The Brake Fluid

Another fluid that needs to be regularly changed is brake fluid. Brake fluid helps keep your brakes functioning properly by providing hydraulic pressure. But brake fluid can also become contaminated over time, which can decrease its effectiveness. That’s why it’s important to have your brake fluid flushed and replaced every few years.

As you can see, there are a number of different filters and fluids in your car that need to be regularly changed. Neglecting to do so can lead to all sorts of problems down the road. So make sure to have your car’s filters and fluids changed on a regular basis!
